Position Overview:

We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our newly formed team in New York City.  Interested applicants must have a cumulative undergraduate G.P.A. over 3.5.  We require detail-oriented and focused individuals.  The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced, start-up environment and will have a diverse skill-set to meet varying responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities:

The position requires working along-side the senior management team as well as client facing activities:

  • Source and organize meetings with prospective customers and partners
  • Create highly effective presentations for clients and investors
  • Prepare marketing materials and manage communications with clients

Riot Games Presents: Online Gaming, A View From The Front – Nov 8th

Riot Games will be on campus on November 8th, and Sean Bender, the VP of Special Projects, and Manu Diwakar, the Head of Business Development, will be making a presentation about what’s happening the online gaming industry today.

Topic: The video game industry is in the midst of the greatest series of changes it’s seen in decades.  Platforms, distribution, publishing, technology, geography – it’s all in flux. This talk will cover some the causes and effects of these changes.  Additionally, there will be stories of great triumph, epic failure, and no shortage of opinions we’ve experienced and developed as we’ve worked to make League of Legends a global franchise.

Riot Games was established in 2006 with the goal of bringing what we refer to as “Gamer’s Games” to players all around the globe. Manu Diwakar is the Head of Business Development at Riot Games.  Before joining Riot, Manu was a product manager at Activision-Blizzard where he worked on Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.  Prior to pursuing his dream of working in video games, Manu worked at Bain & Company and Bain Capital.  He is also a fellow alumni, having graduated HBS in 2009.
